Hi folks -
I recently contacted Mr. Brown after he had his Christmas giveaway contest, and he generously offered me two sheaths at a nice discount over his already reasonable prices.
I ordered a black sheath for my ASHBMLE and a coyote sheath for my tan pork shank.
Both sheaths are wonderfully crafted of extra thick kydex and fit the knives like a glove!!
I ordered tec-locks with both -
I love the little details - the talon hole is visible through the Buy Brown cutout - a nice touch!
And Mr. Brown includes a nice drain hole, and I like his DB stamp in each piece he does.
And since I am goofy like that, I asked if Mr. Brown had ever thought of making a frost/ice scraper from his kydex.
Since he is the kind of person he is, he listened to my hare-brained idea and said that he would give it some thought and include a scraper with my order at no charge.
When I opened my package from Buy Brown, I found not one but TWO awesome DB Scrapers for my windows!!!
Look at how cool these are!!
I can't say if Mr. Brown is going to be making these to order, but I can tell you they are rugged and robust, and I am sure it will work GREAT.
I got the idea when I found that my work security badge worked best for scraping frost from my slightly curved windshield, since the card bends.
The kydex does the same thing, but can be made a little larger to work better. I'll get a chance to use it tomorrow morning, as we are getting freezing drizzle here overnight.
Thank you, Mr. Brown, for making the scrapers and including them without even charging me a dime, and also for the awesome sheaths - I can't wait to get them out and use them!
