Do any of you buy pre-owned/refurbished phones off x-bay to upgrade your existing phones with your carrier.

There seem to a ton of branded phones out there.

Anything in particular to look out for? Does you carrier give you any bs for switching?

Thanks!

I have bought a couple, just do a search for phones that are on your carrier,Verizon,TMobile etc.Verizon, you can go online and activate-----

I have bought a couple from folks there with great feedback. I buy android phones and always purchase unlocked/rooted phones and then just drop my sim card and my sd card in and go.

If you don't want to buy from Ebay, try Cowboom.com. They are a division of Best Buy and sell used phones and other electronics that are bought back through Best Buy's Buy Back program. The units are used and will show signs of use but if you get one that doesn't meet your standards, you can return it as they have a 30 day return policy. I recently purchased two Motorola Droid 2's from them for 68.99 a piece. The first one showed quite a bit of wear and had some pretty bad scratches on the screen. So I purchased the second to see if I could get a better one. The second one arrived looking brand new. If it had been in retail packaging I would not have known it was used. The first one will be going back. All the phones are guaranteed to be fully functioning (as both of mine were) it's just up to you to decide how much wear is acceptable.
