Buy from uncle Bill!

My first H.I. khukuri arrived today...a WWII model with a wood handle. It's a beautiful knife and I'm very happy with it. Thanks Cobalt!

However, I also paid for three khuk's from another forumite who has cashed my check two weeks ago and now refuses to answer E-mail or phone calls. I've learned I'm not the only one this person has done this to.Poor Seegarman's been waiting a month! All things considered I would have been better off buying from Bill.This is a great forum full of great people and most of the time I'm sure private transactions work out great.At this point I'm no longer afraid to say it...Beware of Robert Cole!

I know the fellow you are referring to and I must say that this same man has been extremely honest in his dealings with me. This is exactly opposite the way he dealt with me and I am wondering if some misfortune may have befallen this man which is preventing him from answering phone, email, shipping, etc. A car wreck, death in family, there could be any number of reasons. Let's give him a chance to respond.

Yes atc, I am the other man. My patience is wearing thin. I hope he is not trying to "steal" from a fellow forumite. Robert if you are out there and I know you are cause you've started and responded to several HI threads in September, please repond.
 
I'd suggest waiting more than a week before posting on TGBU, but if it doesn't get resolved there's a forum right here on this website where you can report things like that so everybody is warned (and to report good experiences with knife dealers, too). Click on "hop to" at the bottom of the page and go to "The Good, the Bad, the Ugly." It's a good idea to run a search for anybody you're considering doing business with.

The moderator of that forum is a dork, though.
