Someone please buy the excellent Movie Model for sale in the Beauty and beasts thread for 125 so Bill can post some more give aways.

E-mail sent.

I haven't been able to use the inlaid handled one due to sanding and OCD coats of tru-oil yet. Horn is faster out of the chute.

Congrats, you're going to love that thing.

Mission accomplished, munk!:D :D

Roger, you got the inlaid one? Geeze. You should keep that Movie Model for the Movies and use this horn devil for wood.

keep me in mind if it ever has to find another home. I am second (or third!) owner of the majority of my khuks.

Keith,

Just recieved the Movie Model last night. A few days faster than ever before so I assume it was hurrying here to be with me.:p

First draw was a beautiful arc. Right out of the scabbard and into the wall. Disgruntled, I cleaned the tip off and put this shining example of beauty back in. Into my hand as the tip penetrated the scabbard.

Now that it has been baptized (again), A few coils of wire will fix it until I can find time to send my mistakes so he Terry can fix the splits, tears and red leather.

Don't have to worry about doing fast draws with this one. Already got my thumb as Mamv handed it back to me with the blade sticking out of the scabbard. With care (alot of care) the blade can be pulled out of the scabbard and reinserted without destruction of life, limb and property! Alot of care.

I destroyed first scabbard first try. Never did a repeat performance but most guys don't get the second chances I do.

Do I sense a Movie model going to the sale forums?;)
It won't bite me, I've got a tricky kydex-n-brass lined scabbard in mind...thick copper rivets all around...this design will keep the movie model in check. Used similar techniques on some sword sheaths for the more "bitey" of my swords.

Seems like that sharpened top edge is causing the probs, along with that point (which is wonderfully recurved for in-line thrusting, as made evident by beinng thrust thru the scabbard!) Internal brass chape held in place with a rivet-cage would tame that beast.

Keith

Roger, I'm glad in my evil selfish way it happened to you. I was lonely with my ripped scabbard.

I still love my Movie Model.

Maybe, maybe not, but I sense the making of a legend - the Infamous Bloodthirsty Movie Model. At future conventions, somebody will say "I have a Movie Model". Then the room will get quiet, nodding heads carrying mixtures of awe, sympathy, and that blank, knowing look you give to crazy people. :D

My wife is giving me that look after she sees more triangular boxes. Haven't been able to part with a khuk yet, but if this one ever tells me to say sayonara I'll give you the first yell Keith. Wife says that if something unforeseen happened ( Movie Model accident)she'd have to give my khuks away. One box. One lucky and strong forumite. She'd probably make that same guy a heckuva deal on all my longarms too. Benchgrinders, forge, anvil, lathes, saws, belt sanders etc. Not sure if she's serious . The cut was bad, but not THAT bad.

Keep band-aids handy. Maybe we could have a pass around thread for it similar to the Pen Knife. Each one of us could be seriously maimed by it and pass it another forumite with courage, quicker hands or a death wish.:D Don't tell my lovely bride.....

Munk::p hehe

The bloodthirsty khuk passaround, eh? My hunger for a Movie Model is sated for now. I just ordered me a 21" Chit!

Hope the missus iz jest givin ye some $h1t about all the gear, the protective ones always do. Don't like their hubbies bleedinn all the time.:)

Future sale or trade, thanks fer the dibs, Rog.
