buying a busse

Many threads addressing that topic...along with votes, etc. I can tell you that the BATAC LE (limited edition badger attack) and GW (game warden) are very popular knives that are currently available at the Busse Company Store.

i want to get them all but in the past 3 weeks i have bought WAY to many knives. im thinking about THE GAME WARDEN.

SHBM?? sorry im new to busse knives

Straight Handle Battle Mistress.

You can pick up the latest generation of Mistress (CG FBM, FFBM, FBM LE) for reasonable prices on the exchange.

And Skunker at the company store (http://bussecompanystore.com) may be getting a new batch soon... maybe even double cut! :D

CG FBM - Combat Grade Fusion Battle Mistress
FFBM (or FFFBM) - Fat Flat Fusion Battle Mistress
FBM LE - Limited Edition Fusion Battle Mistress.

tgiannes, seriously, the GW is a good place to start, and they are available at www.bussecompanystore.com for $187.

BCS (Busse Company Store) also has the Bader Attack LEs for $397. Great camp knife.

The SHBM will be tough to find, and you might experience sticker shock during the search. Expect to pay $800 to $1000.

If I were buying my first Busse right now, I'd sniff around the exchange and pick up a Fusion Battle Mistress of some flavor. They really are amazing knives, and they will never be any less expensive than they are now. The FBM is one of the best knives ever made, IMO. Time will tell if they are superior to the old-school SHBMs- nostalgia and rarity aside, my hunch is that they probably are. Not that I wouldn't trade my FFBM for a SHBM in a heartbeat.

If you want a Busse, why mess around with the small stuff? The smaller stuff is nice- but you can't really get a good sense of what Busse is all about without using one of the larger pieces.

I started with a Badger Attack CG - tan/snake. Should be arriving this week. Been a loooooong wait.

I was after a mid-sized camp knife and I think I did pretty good first time out.

Sure wouldn't mind a Mistress though. To me that's the quintessential Busse. Nothing else like it on the market really./

Here's a pic of my Batac model (not my shot, saw it here and downloaded it for reference.)
