Hi All
It is so difficult being a knife nut in GB !
There are so few serious retailers.
I have several knives - but after reading all your reviews, I am desperate to get my hands on a CR small Sebenza or an Umfaan.
Where am I best to buy from? If any one knows anywhere in GB this would be great, but failing this is it best direct from CR, or from one of the many internet discounters?

P.S - for EDC - small sebenza or Umfaan?

Thanks for your help...

You can't go wrong with CRK, or any of the fine dealers who advertise on this forum (including the knife dealer who owns this forum

Can't help you in GB, although there is a forum here called "European Knife Community" in the "Community" section with folks who might have more info. You'll probably get some here as well!

There is a guy who posts on here regularly called the General who is in Wales look around for one of his posts sure he could help. Can't help on the EDC dilemma - I would love a Seb' to and from all the posts they are every bit as good as their reputation! Neil

Unless you are totaly against larger knives the large Sebenza is a great edc. I know it is called large but is not all that big. It will ride great in jeans or dress slacks without weighting them down and you have 3.5" of a BG-42 scapel. Don't know if the laws in GB will force you to go with the small or not, but I just wanted to throw that in about the large one.

Drop me a line. I will help any way I can. I know many ways to get the stuff you want at the best prices around

Be ADVISED! Any folder with a lock is a knife you have to have a Damn good reason for having on you at the time. Examples for this are in work, camping, religion, scouting.

Yes that means a small sebi and the ufi!

Otherwise the only 100% legal carry is a sub 3" knife WITHOUT A LOCK.

Use my link in my signiture to read the exact terms of our laws.

The large is good for wearing in a sheath on the belt. (think Buck 110)

The small is the perfect pocket carry size.

The Umfaan is tiny. Gentleman's knife.
All are expensive. Good luck.

Hi Elmo,
Whooa weird another Edinburgh dude I've never posted before ,but have got a wealth of information from these guys posts over the last few months, they really know their stuff.

Getting good quality knives is getting harder in the uk I haven't found anywhere in Scotland I think framer carried them years ago may be worth a call also you could try www.hennie.com which you've probably found already, good customer service <2 days delivery time not the cheapest thu & i doubt they carry CR.
If you travel however.
I was in Amsterdam for business recently and off the Dam there is a shop called "the old man" with a fantastic range of Sydercos, CR cold steel etc all quality pieces, with great patient knowledable staff who are into their job, Most importantly of all after spotting me lusting after the sebenza's immediately offered to let me handle them - Worth every penny :-)
anyway i was skint but still came away with a good discount on a Syderco Pegasus which resides on my work keys which sadly in reality is all i can justify carrying living here, and even that is technically illegal ...sigh.
Unforunately I also fear the uk will go for the full on Politically correct approach & tar one handed openers with the same tabloid induced brush as "Evil" knives like balisongs and autos, but thats another post altogther.

best of luck
