spiro, raindrop or ladder... lets see some pics. or tell me which you like the best. I've got a year to wait  and I'm thinking ladder...

The Raindrop pattern always impresses me when I see it on a Sebbie. I think it adds a lot of character without being too fancy looking. I reckoned it would be a good match for the Micarta model and recently picked one up,

I also own an Annual LE with Spirograph which looks nice against the wood, too. Generally, I think it's important to decide what your choice of knife model is and then match the Damasteel up to this, to suit it to your own eye.

thats a nice one roefisher. mines a small reg plain jane that i'm lokking to up-do...

leaning towards spiro or ladder. anyone got pics of a plain with spiro maybe in the regular series.

ladder on order...I'm sure that when it comes in I will have totally forgot about ordering it ;) but I'm pretty stoked

Since this is my one and only damascus, I am going to say this is my favorite. All I gotta say is, this is Tough Steel. I used this little mnandi for cutting jobs that make you think you need a large sebenza. It flew through with flying colors. I truely believe it is far better steel than S30V, I really do. I cut cardboard until there was no end in site it seemed, I then cut rawhide dog bones up for the dogs with a sawzall and it left paint on the bones. So I cut and sliced the paint off of the bones ( took over an hour ) and it still shaved hair. Awsome Awsome Steel, and Beautiful to Boot. This is Definately a Keeper! I cant even remember what this pattern is ?

Spriograph seems the best to me.

PS I don't want ot hijack the thread but how deep into the steel does the pattern go? The edge seems to be free of it.

Looks like "Basket Weave". Did you get it from TNK?

No, I got it on ebay........lol. Now that you mention it, I think it is basket weave and is a TNK exclusive. I love it. I would love to have a large regular sebbie with a damascus blade, in my experience with a large regular sebbie and damascus, I think that would be one of the toughest knives ever made.

that's basket weave and a nice lookin' knife... the pattern goes all the way through the steel I believe the edge looks that way 'cause it's sharpened and that removes the etching that makes the layers show up...

At first I thought it may have been Devin Thomas Sharks Tooth, But after looking at the 2 pictures I posted in another thread it is Devin Thomas Basket Weave and that means in came from TNK when it was new. Rickster
