Buying a new knife...

Well...you go to a gun/knife show, or your favorite store, or the internet, and buy a new knife. It comes and most of the time, you're instantly happy. You carry the knife around for a few days, and you begin to notice the little things that cause you to either love your new knife or hate it.
I bought a Crawford/Kasper CRK&T folder last week that I'm really beginning to love. Little things like "butter smooth" operation, tight lock-up, "scary" sharp, absolutely NO blade wiggle, make this knife a pleasure to carry. And last, but far from least is the way the Crawford/Kasper rides in my pocket. Even though it's a large knife, it's designed to ride low and unobtrusively.
Anybody else feel this good about their Crawford/Kasper?

I love mine. I have both the large plain edge and the small combo edge. Both are great, though the large finds its way into my pocket more often these days. Haven't had them long enough to form any opinions about durability, but they seem very well made. IMHO, it is one of the prettiest knives around. There is something really graceful about both the blade and the handle, and I find myself holding it in the evenings for no good reason.

Same here Josh.
Just sit around watching television while holding the Kasper. Something I haven't quite put my finger on, makes this one feel just great. I guess it could be the "all one texture" scales. Maybe something "primal".

Somebody else is sure to come up with a better reason.

I would like to see them offer an upgrade similar to what they did for the M-16. At least offer one with a higher grade steel and maybe G-10 scales.

Dennis,
Outstanding idea! I have a G-10 "X-Duke" and it is really tough stuff.
By the way...How are the "peepers" doing? Everything getting back to normal?

I would definitely love to see an upgraded version, but the existing one is still pretty nice, especially for the price. Many people mention the relative low quality of the AUS 6m steel used in the KFF, but some of the reviews in the knife reviews and testing forum were pretty impressive in terms of edge retention and general durability. This is my first time trying to post links, so bear with me:

Hope this works. Even though I am totally stoked with the ones I have, I hope the folks at CRK&T will see fit to come out with an upgrade.
