Buying and selling in social groups.

The title says it all.Can people buy and sell within their social groups without breaking the rules?
 
We do restrict selling to the appropriate sales forums. Besides that, sellers would need the right membership level.
From the FAQ, on infractions:

Selling without paying membership

BFC stays open largely through the generosity of members who pay for memberships here. As such, we do not allow non-paying members to advertise their items for sale on this site.

A Gold membership is the miminum membership needed to sell in the For Sale forums.

This infraction can be issued as a warning, and counts as 30 points towards your total. It expires in 36 months.

Please keep Exchange dealings in the Exchange forums. If we start seeing a creeping use of social groups to evade Exchange controls, I bet you the social groups won't be around much longer.
