Buying Busse on principle

How many of you buy each new Busse knife as it becomes available on general principle?

I'm thinking it's a darn good habit to get into for two big reasons.

I never gave much thought to the smaller non-bushcraft blades but I'm absolutely kicking myself for not snagging an Active Duty or Leaner Meaner when I had the chance. I'm just now realizing how handy a blade that size could be.

Secondly the blade I bought that I thought would be my be all/end all utility knife (yeah right) the SJTAC just doesn't do it for me and I'm using an old school SJ instead. No knocks against the new design, it just doesn't "hold my hand".

So in light of that I've started grabbing everything I can get and "auditioning" them. If they don't pass... hey off to another happy hog.

The best part is since doing this surprisingly I've found blades that I never gave a second thought to becoming my favorites. For example a CPJaba is my absolute favorite user. I also have on order 2 FBMs and grabbed a GW. The GW is still in it's cardboard sheath on my shelf and I'm still scratching my chin on whether I'll keep it.

However I now plan on getting (at least) one of everything coming out of Wauseon. Anyone else with me?

My mind says yes. My finances say no. My mind shall overcome.

This is the where the angry wife comes in and tries to stop you.......then you have to resort to new email addresses and PO Boxes..... extra shifts and that "new credit card" that she knows nothing about!!!!

I've been thinking about instead of putting money in my check account just wiring it directly to busse. Might be easier that way and keep the wife from snagging any of it.....

Hey , that's not bad.....keep a stash at Busse.....a few thousand $$$ maybe, then, Jerry can just send 'em as they come off the line......no ordering needed. just a steady supply of infi.

Having come to this game late, I completely agree with buying at least one of anything new that interests you. I have only lucked into one BCS buy, everything else has been off the secondary market. One thing that has impressed me is that even with off the scale inflation of prices, you can still find some hogs who sell at a reasonable price. To them I say thanks, because otherwise I would still be collecting Benchmades. (which I still do anyway!)
