I've bought a watch from NSW. Declared value of around 300 USD / 465 AD

Has anyone on here taken delivery of a parcel lately that has shipped from Australia?

What can I expect duties/fees/tariffs?

Just wanting to know in advance if I'll have to post up some steel here on the Ex to bring it home. TIA!

Private sale shipping via Aus Post/USPS ? If so probably nothing. If a commercial sale and shipped via DHL etc under the new tariff arrangements there may be a charge passed along to you prior to delivery. Not sure if watches are captured by this but I do know that clothing has been.

Yes, private sale. That's great news. I got a fair dinkum deal on a 41mm Europe Only Bulova reissue, but after sealing the deal I realized I'd forgotten about the tariff situation and was concerned my decent Devil Diver deal would maybe morph into a terrible transaction 😖

Yes The People's Republic of Victoria sees them as the devil's tool and instead of going after the gangs that swing them they ban them. That state is so F#cked up thanks to Comrade Dan it is indescribable, Allen is just following in his foot steps...
