Is it legal to order ammunition online/mail order if you live on Long Island, NY? I know it's illegal in NYC, but want info on the laws in Long Island. Web searches didn't turn up much. Thanks.
 
I really have no idea, so don't take my word for any worth, but I thought it was only the 5 bouroughs that had all the crazy restrictions about ammo and whatnot.

Whatever company you're gonna buy it from would probably know the laws, why not just call them up?
 
I can only tell you that I have ordered many, many cases of shotgun shell through the years and had them delivered to the house. I don't think it is a problem outside city limits
