I have two (probably stupid) questions I would like to ask about buying in the Knife Exchange:

1) When a seller says the cost of a knife is "$100 Net", what exactly does that mean?

2) If a seller only says: "The first $300 takes it", and makes no mention of PayPal, and I am paying with PayPal Goods and Services (not as a Friend) am I expected to send $300 via PayPal Goods and Services, or $300 + some extra percentage?

Thanks,

SAK

These are shorthand for what's in the seller's mind, and so you have to ask them.
They are not "official" Bladeforums terms.

PayPal rules say the seller covers the fees without asking the buyer to kick in on them.
And buying and selling should always mean Goods & Services, never "family & friends".

Net mens the seller wants you to add a % to cover the fees.
I like to see TYD -- to your door, meaning the seller put it all in one price.
