Buying -selling knives law for NY?

I want to send two fixed blade knives to a person who lives in New York city:
1. Randall Model 19-5” Bushmaster
2. Randall Model 12-13” Raymond Thorp (I think it has 13" blade)
Are these knives legal to own, buy and sell in New York state? As I understand, you cannot carry them, but I suspect you can bring them home from the post office packed and take them back packed as well.
I just want to be sure. I saw here some NY laws, but are they up to date? http://knife-expert.com/ny.txt I find these laws strange because I see you cannot carry folding locking knife, but no restrictions on fixed blades. Can a foreigner carry a fixed blade knife to/from post office, and possess them at home? Are there some special restrictions on selling these items from NY?

You can own folding locking knives but can't carry one with a 4" or bigger blade ( in NYC only). The same blade length restriction applies to NYC for fixed blades. You can sell the ones you listed to him, and he can own them, but he can not carry them unless he is going to or coming from the listed activities....
