BWM / Sheath question?

I thought I saw someone say they fit their BWM in their Scrap Yard 10" sheath. Can anyone confirm this? I'm thinking about ordering one just so I have something to put my BWM LE in until I get a custom rig. Thanks!

I hear that. I plan on getting a custom sheath for it as soon as it ships, but seeing as it's a LE I can't order a sheath for it just yet and have it in a couple weeks.

I've absolutely checked out MC's site and, as he's got both the BWM and the BS available for purchase for the models available on Busse's site, I might just be ordering from him. I'm just thinking of something to keep / carry it around in until the sheath maker has those models available.

Maybe I'll just order a DF to go with the sheath, then if the BWM doesn't fit at least I'll have something to keep it company. :cool:
 
Yeah - I tried the Kydex Sheath that Scrap Yard was selling with the Dog Fathers, and the BWM does fit. There is about 1-2mm of the point sticking out of the end of my sheath, but it will work in a pinch.
 
I stuck my BWM in a nylon DF sheath I'd gotten for my CGFBM when it first arrived.



Fit's great, that poor old DF sheath has seen its share of big Busses !


I keep it around just for the occasions you described, it works great till the 'real' one shows up.
 
Really good to know guys! I decided to order it just in time too, my BWM LE shipped yesterday, should be here tomorrow! The sheath got here earlier this week :cool:
 
My BWM fits the SYKCO 10" Cordura sheath just fine.

Are you saying your Bushwacker Limited Edition shipped?? I thought they were still a few weeks out?

The BWM is just a little too long for my Armoralleather CGFBM sheath, it's close, but not good enough so I got a Mashed Cat sheath. :)
 
Keep in mind that RAT Cutlery is supposed to offer a SWEET after market sheath for there Junglas Machete that looks practically like a small backpack (NOT to be confused w/ the Junglas Backpack). The Junglas Machete has very similar dimensions to the BWM. I plan to get a Junglas as soon as they are available and I will get the "survival sheath" too, and I will let you all know if the BWM fits... That is of course if Horn Dog doesn't beat me to it.

That's what I want for my CG BWM, and the LE is going in a MashedCat dangler W/ leg strap

I'm pretty sure the BWM would fit it, but the more I look at the Junglas sheath, the less I like it. Too tactical looking, too many buckles. Looks like a backpack for knives. I think I like the $20 Scrap Yard sheath better. I wish I could get a Kuna Indian sheath made for it. Now that's a Bushwacker look.
