BWM Workout

So, shortly before I headed out on my trip "over here" in early December, I was able to get out to the training area behind 7th Group on Ft. Bragg to give my BWM a workout. Not too much compared to some of the other challenges that have been posted, but it felt good to get out and swing this thing! It took me this long to post pics, as I only had my phone with me, and it took me a while to figure out how to get the pictures off the phone and on to my laptop. But now I know, and as GI Joe taught us, knowing is half the battle!

So, without further ado!:

I didn't time it, so I don't know how long this took me, but it wasn't very long. I chopped a bunch of limbs as well, and the BWM made short work those, no surprise.

This has definitely whetted my appetite for chopping with this beauty, so I plan to do some more when get home in March (this can be addictive...;)).

Thanks Fellas! Heck yeah, I had a good time. That tree never knew what hit it. ;o)

Looks good! Is that a light sage coating or doublecut?

I don't know, drbarnes. As a matter of fact, I've been meaning to ask what doublecut is, but I didn't want to start a whole thread just to do it.

It looks like some kind of coating. I don't think it's sage. It looks kind of like a speckled egg shell to me but it seems like there's a coat from how much the edge contrasts the flat of the blade.

Double cut is a bead-blasted finish offered by Busse, by the way. The steel isn't coated. It's nonreflective.

Also by the way, those pictures are awesome. I have a BWM that must be starving; she hasn't eaten any trees since I got her. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks. I dont think its DC finish. The only DC fisnish that I have seen are on mine with the tan/green micarta slabs. nice pics mang.
