I'm sitting here at my computer trying to deside what I'm going to do with my self for the next few days and thoughts of buying more guns keeps poping into my head. Am I nuts or what? I don't have a job anymore and a nice rifle on the way, but the thought of a new pistol or knives keeps coming up.

What I really want/can use is some new equipment. Like a 1911 holster, a .357 Mag cartrage belt, Small backpack or Camel pack, Ammo, Canteens, another tent.... And thats just to name a few things. So why am I thinking about buying new pistols? Someone on the Busse forum was talking about Springfield M1A's and I though; "in a few days I could buy one". But do I really need a Rifle I couldn't afford to shoot much? Jiminy Chicket! Is there no help? LOL!!!

No, you're perfectly normal. I have the same thoughts.

I never should've bought that first gun, I'm liable to go broke before I buy everything I "need." ;)

Thanks for the reashuring words. :) After typing up this thread I took a shower. It came to me that I should make up a shopping list for food, a leather supplies list and a list of things I'll need for camping this spring and summer. Then I need to call about some of the money coming to me to get a better idea as to when it will be here. - I keep getting good ideas in the shower or at 3am.. Strange eh?

Then after getting out and starting the Dutch oven with some Chicken soup I read your message. Am deffinantly feeling a little better. But one of the stores I need to shop at has guns. Aarrgg!! LOL! Guess I need to focase on the nesesities of life first then worry about the fun stuff. :)

But it's still nagging me. I keep getting visions of a Ruger SP101 or Gp100 in my head. he he he...... Then I think "When is Yangdu going to be back, I wonder if she has anything with my name on it."....

That's pretty good. I was making lists myself yesterday as my work computer was acting up and I had to wait several hours for the IT people to fix it. But rather than make grocery lists, I spent my time thinking about a few more guns I need to pick up--a Remington 870, Stag Arms M4 build, Springfield Armory M1A Scout, and a CZ 75.

Indeed you are youngen.:p

More guns is a good thing, provided you can pay for them, feed them, give them a proper home, take them out for walks in the woods and urban jungle, let them bark occasionally . . .

You should get the new gun now. You never know when they might be banned or something. Best not to take any chances.

At least that's what I used to tell myself! Whether you can afford ammo of not is irrelevant. You can always trade guns for tons of ammo when the SHTF.;) Besides, cased .308 isn't too bad compared to some... AND, you just had a Birthday! That's a new gun mandate right there!

(Rationalize, rationalize!) :D

The Henry .22 is my Birthday gun this year. I went to Rangemasters today (they are the ones that are ordering my gun) to ask about some stuff. Got a good deal on some .38 Special rounds and was drooling heavally on a Marlin .357 Magnum levergun. If I had had enough cash on hand I would have gotten it. It was a good price!!

Heber, get a C&R license. $30 from the friendly feds- only $10 per year!

Imagine new rifles for as little as $49, $79, $99... cheaper than a khuk!

Mosins, Mausers, rifles of the world... an affordable siren song. History can be yours to hold, own and shoot...

Heber I bought one of the .357 Mag Marlins when I lived in Oregon back in 1980 along with a .357 Mag Ruger Security Six and have never regretted it!!!!
The little Marlin is perfect for our whitetails here in Oklahoma. :D
I was considering the .44 Mag rifle/pistol combo when I was younger but trying to shoot a .44 Mag pistol now with my bones the shape they're in it would tear my wrist all to hell. I've already had the carpal bones removed from my right wrist and anymore damage to it means it would have to be fused solid.:grumpy:
My hand surgeon done an excellent job and I have almost as much movement now then I did before.

Heber...

AA is a pusher. Don't listen. That whole "little as $49"...is the equivalent of a gateway drug.

Ask him about his ammo barge, anchored off-shore. Get him to tell you about his bunker. Go on...ask. Importers check with HIM before deciding to add to their inventory.

Stuff don't make you happy.

WANTING stuff is...motivating. :D

Oh, I want the Marlin, I want it Bad!! Wanting it might actually motivate me to find a new job quickly too. :) Mike does sound a little like a dealer. LOL!! Thank goodness what he's pushing doesn't interest me right now. I'm more into classic american designs right now. Lever guns, Revolvers, Cannons.....

Ouch, I never knew your hands were so bad off. I had the tendon Surgery about 5 and a half years ago. Still am not sure if I'm ready for .44 Mag. You talking about the Marlin and Ruger isn't helping you know. Already got the Ruger....... But if I know I can pay bills and eat for a few months I'll probably end up getting the Marlin soon. Got 100 rounds of 9mm I can use in the Ruger and 100 rounds of .38 Special that should feed nicely in the Marlin. :D

Come to think of it, you guys ain't trying to talk me out, sounds like you think I should get the Marlin. Glad I didn't ask about Khukuris. I'm sure you'd tell me to send $500 to Yangdu and ask her to sand me what ever. :p
