Byrd Cara Cara folder

thanks for the mini-review shadowblade. i actually got a Byrd Meadowlark model today with G10, and i'm surprised at how solid it is. this line seems like a great way to get a beater spyderco at a low price with no real noticeable difference in quality. (i do have regular spydercos also)

I have the Cara Cara in the chisel grind CE stainless steel handle model, it's really sharp and it locks up as good as the endura 4.

Yep, the G10 Meadowlark and Cara Cara are really well built EDC folders. (So I had to buy also a Delica 4/ZDP189 to see what beat their edge retention... :D)

Tyr thanks much for all of your detailed reviews.

And thanks to Cougar for the moving service.

IMHO, The Byrds are hard to beat for someone who would never send $40 + for a Spyderco or for anyone looking for a beater that they don’t need to worry about. For people who are willing to spend a little more, I think that the FRN Spyderco’s are a big step up from the Byrds if for no other reasons than that they have more desirable blade steels (S30V, VG10, H1) and round holes!
