I have the G-10 version, as I prefer grippy G-10 to slippery metal handles any day. Not sure which is thinner. Either way you should be happy with the performance of the blade, I know I am. It takes a good polish, is easy to sharpen, and has very respectable edge holding.
I have the stainless steel version, that being said if the G-10 version had been available when I bought it, I would have gone with G-10. The only reason...better grip. It's a great knife for the money, enjoy whichever model you get.
I'm going to be ordering a Meadowlark PE in G10 when I get an extra $30. Played with it in the store, and it really fit my hand well, plus that G10 is something else!
