I just acquired a Byrd Cara Cara with G10 handles in a plain edge configuration, and am very impressed. I have an older serrated one w/a stainless handle that I've never used or carried because I frankly didn't like the slippery steel grips.
In Cliff Stamp's excellent reviw of the Cara Cara, he praises the knife but seems to rate the serrated one much higher for its cutting power.
To those who own both, or one or the other, what are your views of the knife? And do the large serrations pose any cutting discomfort?
Finally, what are Byrd's intentions? Are they going to offer their entire line w/G10 grips? I'd love to have one of their little hawkbills w/black grips.
Thanks!
