I lost the Cara Cara Rescue that Sal sent me last year. I was cutting a piece of rope and set it down on top of one of the lobster traps. I kept reminding myself to get it before I set the trawl back and naturally did not remember. It was our last trawl and after cutting the rope and making up a new buoy I went and set the gear back. I got the hose and started spraying the boat down and noticed that the knife was not next to the throttle where I always put it and then it dawned on me. Doh.

I used that knife almost exclusively for a year. The serrations were by far the absolute best that spyderco put out. I guess I am in the market for a new rope knife.

Atlantic salt in yellow? That way you'll see it easier and maybe remember it. Sorry 'bout losing your knife though. I hate that no matter the price or whether I liked it or not. I lost my kershaw storm 2 a few days ago. At least I didn't lose it to the open sea, your SOL.:D;):)

thats a shame, i hate losing things. i agree with Minnesota on the atlantic salt in yellow.

Mine isn't lost. I know exactly where it is. :D

It's in 30 feet of water off of the Eastern Point lighthouse, Gloucester, MA. :grumpy:

Sad part is, I knew as soon as I put the knife down that I would forget it. Call it a premonition. I did it anyway :o

There is so much lobster gear there that it has a good possibility of being washed by the tide or wave action into a pot. If it hasn't rusted too badly someone will have a nice knife.
