Byrd + dremel = waved byrd?

I see it, a byrd knife, you just open the top of the comet hole and you get a waved byrd.

Do you think that would work/will be easy to do? AND that the knife would still be openable "traditionally" with the remain of the hole?

I asked/saw on a few forum people talking about knives for travelling. The general opinion was "take a knife you won't cry if you lost". Think the byrd is the solution there.

I'd be concerned about the Lockup on the Byrd, and how opening via the "wave" would effect the lock stability of the Byrd. I wasn't very impressed with the Byrd lockup, so I'd be a little hesitant.
