Just came across this knife on blade hq . Does anyone have on of these or maybe have handled one. I'm thinking of one as a work knife.

I don't have this particular one, but I have owned/gifted a bunch; stainless steel, G-10, Frn; and they are all above average value knives. My personal favorites are the blue, frn Cara Cara, and the G-10 Finch (key chain knife).

I've owned a Raven 2 and a meadowlark 2. While not the most flashy knives they do cut very well. Both of the Byrd's I've used were great everyday knives. I know alot of people don't want knives without a super steel, but the 8cr on the meadowlark I had would be hair popping sharp in just a couple minutes

I had a cara cara as my work knife for a while. It was great. I did upgrade to an endura in hap40 because I came across a used one at a good price.
I like the looks of this harrier. Looks to be around the size of a Delica with a blade shaped more like the endura. I’m sure it would make a great work knife.
Sorry I don’t have any experience with this model in particular. I’ve been watching the thread since you started it hoping to hear from some first hand users.

ETA: looks like it falls right between the Delica and endura for size. I may have to try one.

I don't have that one but I have a Cara Cara 2 in FRN that I like. The blade is thinner than my VG-10 Endura. It's easy to sharpen, has smooth action, and is a surprisingly good value at around $20.

I'm gonna buy another meadowlark this week when I get paid unless I get the harrier

Harrier has the G10 handle, correct? The FRN is awesome on the Byrds. I almost wish Spydies had the same texture. That would be the main deciding factor to me - G10 or FRN?

I had a cara cara for a while and I currently have a Hawkbill. It’s a little pocket chainsaw. My 8 year old daughter chose a blue FRN Robin as her first knife.

I think they are great knives especially for the price, I had a meadowlark in g10 and a Raven 2. Great knives.

they have been making some models using cts-bd1 (like on the crow2)... I'm curious if anyone has tried those? Is it a nice upgrade over 8cr?

I like it. It is a decent steel IMHO. I'm not a real big fan of super steels and don't mind to sharpen a knife. I think it does well
