That looks really familiar. I thought I bought mine cheap but I paid more than that.
I like mine, I bought it as an experiment in carrying a SE blade. Mine is very sharp too, and can be vicious. I'm used to linerlocks and not lockbacks so I forgot how the spring can snap them closed. I was closing it slowly and the spring snapped it the rest of the way shut, the tip of the blade caught the tip of my little finger and gave me a little nick.
I think the knife is very well made for the price. I was interested in the Robin which is similar size and styled like the Delica, but I found the Hawkbill first.
Very difficult but not impossible.
You can see the rivets that hold the knife together. The easiest way would be to file down the FRN, cut new G10 scales, drill holes or relief for the rivets, glue on the G10.
You might be able to drill out the rivets, file everything flat, put on the G10, drill new holes and put in new bolts.
Most of the Byrd models are similar to Spyderco models that come with G10 so it would be easier to just buy one of them.
