I just got the byrd robin with g-10 scales. The inexpensive cousin of the spyderco dragonfly. It's a small 2.5 oz lock back knife, with finely checkered g-10 scales, solid SS liners, Nice size "comet" hole for deployment, and black (phillips head) adjustable pocket clip for lefty/righty tip up carry. All the other screws are torx, including the pivot. It's about 3 1/2" closed with a 2 1/2 inch 8Cr13MoV blade.

Okay here's the review... A nice little EDC, or backup to a larger EDC. The hollow ground blade comes shaving sharp. The blade has aggressive jimping on both spine and choil area for a nice feel in the hand. It's locks up solid, with no blade play, and is easily opened and closed with one hand. For it's small size it's got a little heft to it, weighing in at 2.5 ozs., which is a good thing. It's feels like a small, big knife.

The only two things I was not 100% happy with on this knife, are the inside edges of the liners, because they almost feel sharp, and the pocket clip seems a little weak. I may be wrong, but I don't think the clip is tempered. Not to worry, a little fine grit sandpaper took care of those edges, and the clip, well, it is a $20 knife. Something like that can be over looked. To be honest, a knife this size,IMO, is almost better carried deep in the pocket without using the clip. At about half the price of the d'fly, the robin is an amazing knife for the price. It is a great value knife. I think anyone looking for a small EDC, would be very happy with a byrd robin. In addition, with such a low price, you won't think twice about using it!....
