I bought a C-15 Spyderco Terzuola about eight years ago, and I have never got around to asking when Spyderco switched to G-10 scales (mine are black anodized aluminum). When they did switch, was the pocket clip still reversible for tip up/tip down carry? Also, for what reason did they switch (ease of fabrication, enhanced grip?). This knife is very near, and dear to me, for it was my first ATS-34 back in the day when that was the buzz word. I have never even used this particular model, it sits smiling at me from behind glass in it's virgin state. Thanks.....:D

I have a large and small in Aluminum with plain-edges. I think they changed to G-10 handles around '95, but I could be wrong. I think they changed because G-10 was the latest and greatest handle material then. Also at about that time they stopped producing the plain-edges and only offered the knife in Combo-edge. The clips in both handle scales were reversible.

I really liked this knife alot as well, it was a real leap at the time. Fit, finish, and reversible clip position make it the best Spyderco knife ever made, to me anyway.

:)
