I happened across this fella, an '84 five bladed redbone sowbelly by Cripple Creek. There were only about 10 of these guys built with redbone scales. The light redbone is called strawberry bone This fella is a little more on the red side.

Thanks Gorlank. I try to post a photo of a slipjoint whenever the current one gets off the board. It seems to keep a little color in the forum.

Great looking slip joint, Greg...I'm not familiar with the "Cripple Creek" brand; could you post some information for my education and any others who might not be up to date on CC?

If you want to learn more about Cripple Creeks, go to the creator ot them his self, here. www.knifeman.org. Poke around in there a bit for a real treat.
I would also get one of Bernie Levines Guide to Knives. I could probably fill several pages with info but that would spoil your fun. They are gettin' harder to find and the price of them keeps goin' up. Don't let that bother you. There are still a lot of them out there. Somewhere.

I finally received my first Cripple Creek today. It's probably the most common CC out there, the 1982 Knife World Limited Edition. I'll have some pics by tomorrow. It's a beautiful knife, the main blade has the hardest snap of any slip joint I've handled with a precise half stop. Fit and finish are top notch. I've bid on quite a few on ebay but I've always been outbid. Can't wait to hopefully land another.
