It seems our good forum friend Charlie C's generosity is limitless. I just found this gem in my mailbox today and I'm absolutely floored! I just can't say enough good things about Charlie. His guidance, enthusiasm, and inspiration in collecting vintage knives has been invaluable to me.

This little pearl Diamond Edge will be a cherished addition to my collection. It really is a gem. I just can't thank you enough Charlie! Now I suspect I'll be spending the rest of my Sunday going down a rabbit hole researching more about this knife and its origins! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Wow!!! what a beautiful knife Phil. Your a very deserving recipient.

The KIWI term LEGEND is so fitting for Charlie. Way to go Charlie:cool::thumbsup:

Beautiful knife and gesture. It is a rare feat to find these old MOP shadow patterns in such pristine condition. Very elegant little knife!

Beautiful knife Philllll. I love the glow. So many acts of kindness and thoughtfulness around here it's hard to keep up.

A pearl shadow, what a beauty! You're a lucky man Philllll. Very generous gift Charlie!

Glad it arrived in one piece, Philllll!
'Tis fitting for the King of Diamonds!!:thumbsup:
Notice both blades are stamped - I suspect that knife was made for Shapleigh by Empire, so it may go back a few years.:cool:
Nice to see a survivor.:)

I agree on the Empire origins! Here's the stamp with a couple other Empire-made DEs...

That is a terrific looking knife! It is in amazing condition too, it looks like it was never even used:thumbsup:

Wow, indeed, that blade is very very special..... it has so much to say. Yes CC is definitely a generous man. A very kind gesture that is really special , congrats

Purty. I'd be scared to carry that though, unless in a pouch. Even then, a shadow MOP...I'd hate to drop that.

What can I do when a knife just sits there calling someone's name????
:confused:o_O
:oops::cool:
:D
