Won the 55 2 weeks ago. Great knife.!! Had some time to make a sheath.
A forum member asked what kind of press i used. Well, Here is the press.!
10 gauge steel with about .750 sticky back foam.
The punch and button to flare out the rivot was a trial and error deal.
(Making the radius on the punch was the hard part.) Anyway.!! This is
what i used to make the sheath.

gettin all fancy :p I got fancy later on and added channel iron. I gotta find something new now, since I don't have these peices of wood or the channel iron anymore...

I should just give in and rig up something like what you have instead of doing it as ghetto as I've been... clamping down 2 clamps at the same time is a lot like juggling (I'm a terrible at juggling)

^^^^^^^^^vice works fantastic! Kydex loses it's heat rapidly and your fit could suffer if you can't clamp it down fast enough. Try a regular bench vise. It takes less time to tighten.

I recently read that Tom Krein would just stand on his press, while doing some other work at the bench.

Thats funny, i like the Capital C clamp comment!!
Just think theyre just 8 inch clamps.Weve got 12 and 16 inchers..

Ill beef it up a bit Monday!! Think ill use .250 hot roll instead of that 10 gauge
galvanized..HA HA!!!!!!!
