With the price of granite reference blocks from Lee Valley and lapping film from ToolsForWorkingWood, this looks a lot more attractive than spending much more money on high end waterstones and flattening them after every use.

I've come across some this guy's sharpening videos before, and enjoyed watching them. He is pretty skilled with a cleaver too. Great stuff. :thumbup:

C Dawg is great at putting on large shiny bevels no matter what the abrasive. Great video as always by our favorite chef from the Bay Area.
