does anyone have this knife or ever handled it before? i was wondering if i should buy a couple of them. i seen the one designed by blackie collins in the shomertech catalog for 9 bucks. it looked pretty good for the price. thanks...lonewolfblood p.s. james keating said it's pretty good in modern knives online magazine.

Hi,
i have one,and its pretty cool. i actually tried hammering it through a board. it worked.
ag russell has em cheaper than 9 bucks. www.agrussell.com i think is the addy.

I don't have one of those, but I have a few of the LS Lanskey ones, and I epoxied two of them together to make it a little bit more comfortable too.

Look into getting the CS CAT Tanto while you are at it.

thanks guys you helped alot. but i have to ask a couple more things... are they sharp on the edges like a real knife? and how do you sharpen them? i heard with sandpaper or something...thanks again...lonewolfblood

They are sharp enough to penetrate very well on a thrust. For slashing, they will cut skin easily if it is over bone. In soft tissue areas, you might have a little more trouble slashing.

Sandpaper works for sharpening. I use some fairly fine stuff, unless the edge is really mangled.
