Im a huge fan of the Vantage series knives, and use them for EDC and hunting needs etc., but would like a bit more blade/handle.
I can completely palm a large Vantage,so its a small size pocket knife for me.But Im a larger knuckle dragger.

Anyway, what I'd like is a Vantage profile blade around 4"-4.25",with corresponding longer handle using Vantage force heavier liners or better and an additional liner center post added.

Increase the height of the right hand side liner and scale to cover the liner lock to improve feel and grip. The exposed liner lock gets into my fingers.

I much prefer the GRN handles for a field/hunting knife but would also like to see some G-10 as well.

Put the Buck name/logo(a bit larger in size) on both sides (like you do on the Vantage Select GRN left side scale),as it adds excellent traction for the thumb when shinning game, detail work etc..

If possible it would be nice to see jimping on the spine of the blade/handle junction, also on the underside rear of the handle.

A lanyard hole across the top/rear like on the Bantam BHW would the only other thing I'd like to see on all the Vantage series.

Any chance this could happen?

Thanks
Raymond

If they would make an "XL" version of every Vantage series, I'm sure it would be a big hit. I really like the size of my large Vantage Avid, but a 4+ inch version would be even better. I carry a slip joint as well, so I like my main folder to be big as I don't need it for small tasks. Scale everything up the way the two sizes are now, and I'd buy two XL Avids. Also loving the lanyard hole and other ideas Blankwaffe! For regular use I like it fine without jumping, but with the slippery conditions of game cleaning it would definitely be a help.

Being a long time Buck knife fan Ive tried some of the larger blade size Buck knives for field/hunting/EDC,the Bantam BHW,Buck Lite large,Omni 397 etc.,and they are all much more bulky,IMHO crude and offer less performance overall than the Vantage in comparison.

The Vantage slices meat better than a butcher knife and super strong tip to boot.Just had to use the Vantage as a hunting knife due to the flat overall profile alone,as its easy to pack away or clip in a hunting vest pocket etc..Absolute dream as a EDC.

To the point,I was sitting around the other night playing with a couple new knives I just got in,a large Vantage Select and a Spyderco Resilience, and it dawned on me,that as much as I love the feel, design and blade profile etc. of the Buck Vantage if it had the blade length of the Spyderco Resilience, that would be fantastic and is what I REALLY want.A larger Vantage with a 4.25" blade would fill alot of roles for me,and open up a whole new category for Buck,in my opinion that is.

In comparison to what the other knife makers offer, the Buck Vantage large is really a medium size knife. So we need a truly large size Vantage, please.:D
