Truthfully, I am not up on if its chisel ground or double ground, I will let someone more in the know answer that one. Its a cool knife - very solidly built - looks like it can take a lot of abuse. However I feel it could have come sharper then it did from the factory. One of these days I gotta buy me a Sharpmaker and when I do, I will probably throw my Razel on there.

thanks for the pic it gives me a better idea about the knife as for double or chisel is the blade ground on both sides or just the one side and how thick is the lock side of the liner thanks

I think that a not too sharp edge is a trade mark of CRKT knives, atleast based from what I have bought. They are good knives though and after owning a couple I know that you can easily sharpen them. I would have to say I don't know much about the CRKT Razel, but as a brand CRKT makes a cheaper, good value knife.

I have one and I think it a great value for the money. Mine is double ground
and came acceptably sharp out of the box. The smaller, frame mounted pocket clip is interesting, the handle material attractive and overall quality higher than I expected.

My only complaint is that is slightly heavy for my taste.

I have a ringed Razel from CRKT and use it often. Mine is double ground and sharp as heck. I would not hesitate for a moment to buy a folding version of this knife.:D:thumbup:

the razel arrived from new grahan knives today it is a very heavy duty strong looking blade and the l.a.w.ks makes it darn near a fixed blade when it is engaged nice handle thick liner feels good in the hand i think you could pry a house door open with this knife if you had to i think it will make a very nice heavy duty work knife
