Even as I write this, Shaun is out finishing the last of the tooling plates for the bolstered Custom Production Knives. (For those of you who don't know him, Shaun Cavanaugh is our Operations Manager and machinist extrordinaire.)
When we first started this venture, we figured that most people would be ordering anodized liners, standard handles with Damascus blades, different color combinations etc. We at least figured that the field would be narrowed down to a few specific models
We could not have been more wrong.
Guys have ordered every concievable configuration, from plain to full dress, of every knife that we offer. Much like the handmade customs, we really had no idea that the project would spark so much interest.
The up side to this is that these C/P knives will be as close to a hand made knife coming out of any production facility anywhere. They really are stunning. I am looking forward to someday having my own Bolstered Mini-Commander done.
For those of you who were expecting things to go faster, we sincerely apologize for the delays. For the rest of you who know us well, things are probably right on your mental schedule

Is is looking like bolstered knives should start to ship in about 4-5 weeks. Remember though, this is Emerson Time. It runs a bit slower than your wall clocks. Rather more like a Rolex that you do not wear every day.
So, that is about it for now. I hope to see some of you all at the show Saturday or Sunday.
