C&r?

I've got the opportunity to buy a knife the owne claims to be handcrafted. He said he won it about seven years ago and has never used it. He can't even tell me what steel it is. (I've only seen pictures of it). The only marking is "C&R". I found one site that mentions a maker by that name and it had a hefty price tag and came with a certification paper. This one doesn't mention one, but it sounds like he's not a knife guy so it was probably lost long ago if its the same company. The location of the maker mentioned on the other site makes since as far as being in a reasonable distance from where he said he won it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Photos a must. If you have a lead on a 'maker' provide this for us.

Welcome. Thanks!

I've got a picture of the mark, which is on the hilt, but I can't post attachments. I don't know if the maker is even in business anymore. The guy said he got it about 7 years ago. Here's a link from the ad. On a side note, I can't believe I've just lurked for that long. I haven't been on here in awhile but it still surprise s me. Hopefully no one buys this out from under me.

Looks like a nicely made and stylish hunter. At the right price, too. Certainly handmade.

The photos are distorted so I can't see exactly how clean the knife is, but at that price it's going to be a good deal nonetheless.

Good for you.
