Any positive experiences? I tried searching the archives but found nothing on it's corrosion resistance. I need something I can use and throw in the tackle box afterwards. I'll make sure I'll rinse it but what if I forget? How soon does AUS8 rust if not properly cared for? Thanks.

Spirex,

I don't have any info, but let me second your request for info on the Catcherman. I'm an avid fisherman, and I too am thinking about getting this knife.

I'm also curious as to whether the small serrated section on the blade works as a de-scaler (or is it too sharp?).

Catcherman owners?

As per the small enclosed booklets in the white sliding cartons, AUS8 is as good as ATS 34 in the corrosion dept. with a 13.5- 14 % chromium. The small serrated part was made to start tough cuts. The dropped handle design does not seem to lend to a good overall profile for scaling.

I just got my Catcherman today, and will use it this weekend (opening of trout season in Pennsylvania).

I'll let you know how it performs...provided I catch anything.

I'll be interested in what you think of the Catcherman.
