Played with one of Tim Wenger knives this week and almost bought one, only reason I didnt was that I like my clips to be screwed into the metal of the knives...I could not see any hole from the inside of the handle so I couldnt tell...are they just not drilled and tapped all the way thru ?? Other than that they have a great overall feel to them.

Thanks

I have a full size Wegner and love it. I removed all three clip screws just to "look around" shortly after I received it. They screw into the metal on the other side of the G-10. I don't think you have to worry about them. I've carried mine every day for the last couple of months and there isn't the slightest amount of clip play. (Now if my neck sheathed BF Native would get here I could start abusing it!)

Good! Thanks for the reply, think I might pick one up now. Just bought a SS "Hunter" model today (Discontinued now) witch has about the same blade style and close to the same size as the small Wenger,I like the blade style on these, seems easy to use.

Kdarmy, I like the Spyderco Hunter as well, but I found the handle a little slick. So, recently I modified mine by adding "traction tape" to the sides and on top of the clip. This stuff is basicaly sticky backed sand paper and it works great on handles without chamfers, like the Hunter. If you are interested, you can probably find it at your local hardware store. The stuff I found was made by 3M and comes in several colors and degrees of roughness.
