I brought my original wore out Caly jr to the blade show to see if it was repairable, the blade drags on opening and is way off center, but alas it is unrepairable. I asked Sal if there was any chance of re-introducing this model and he said yes, if there was enough interest. So, anyone else besides me want to see these slicing machines back in production or at least a sprint run of them?

I'd definitely go for one, I'd suggest going back to VG-10. The FRN Calypso Jr is a great entry level "pocket light saber", so I think there'd be more of a market for them in VG-10 than in a steel that would increase the price.

I doubt they could change t a wire clip without the expense of making a new mold. I would like to see Micarta and VG-10, though.

First of all....Awesome Caly collection.

I would agree about the wire clip probably being too hard to do with out major re-designs, although I'd love to have that as an option.

Micarta would be cool or even that Paper Stone that is being used on the Lum fixed blade, but the truth is the plain old FRN worked great for years and is light weight.

Right now I'd be happy to keep it like the original: FRN handle and VG-10 steel.

Thanks, but that's just the Micarta ones. I've got FRN and stainless models as well.

Have you checked out the Chaparral? I just pulled one out of my mailbox, very similar to the Caly Jr. in size and shape, thin blade of S30V, should be a great cutter.
