Hey Sal,
Any idea when those little #C57 Clipit's might be available? Thanks.

Gene - They've been available and are shipping regularly. We're already well into the second batch. You might ask your regular dealer to make sure he has some on order.

As a manufacturer, one of the problems with distribution is that dealers "chery pick" the line (carry only the best sellers or only what they like). This means that often times many of our newer models don't get the opportunity to really get out there.

If we cannot promote all of the models with ads, and the dealer won't stock it, the general ELU may not even know it exists.

That is one of the reasons for setting up a factory outlet. Prices may not be the lowest, but at least an ELU will be able to see and buy those models that dealers may choose not to stock.

Can you order from the Spyderco Factory Outlet online? Are there any plans?

Also, the Toad is the coolest. I love spyderco's little clipit's especially when it warms up.

Sal,
Thanks a lot for the information. I am of that rare breed that actually LIKES small, handy folders. This from the guy, (along with Dexter), that helped convert dozens of forumites to the "new style" 440V Military that is STILL my every every day carry and can do it all.

My girlfriend and I were looking at photos of this knife and we both said; "I want one"! I truly think that this little guy will be a winner. It appeals to the sheeple, women, and us "tough guys".

aflatfoot: spyderco factory outlet (sfo) will have the ability for you to order on line in about a month. we're currently upgrading our 'shopping cart' software, as well as adding some of the newer product info to the web page. you can also order from us via the phone & yes, we do have some C57S's in stock (5 at least). if you're dying for one, give me a call @ 1-800-828-1925.
thanks,

When I first saw pics of this knife, I thought it was "really ugly". Then I started to think "it's almost ugly enough to be cute." Now I'm starting to think "it's kind of cute." This is a very dangerous progression.

Thanks for all the input. A dealer friend that frequents these forums, (Dennis Wright of Wright Knives), is getting one for me. I'll post a report on Dexter's forum after I receive it.
