Hey all,

I've only posted here a few times, but I love your forum. I spend most of my time in the Becker forum I guess.

So, I have most of one gore (panel) from a C9 parachute canopy. I say "most" because I have already used part of it to improvise a small bag for my line kit.

What should I make out of it? Have any of you tried anything? I'm considering making an improvised bag or shoulder sling thing. I just don't wanna waste the fabric on something I won't use much. I have a good daypack already so I can't imagine I'll use another less convenient bag about the same size.

All the work will be done with the parachute components (550 cord and nylon webbing/tape) and a needle.

Thoughts?

a piece of c-9 can be used for... A pre strainer for murky h2o, laced with 550 innercore to a green "y" branch for a dip net, an improvised sling for injured arm, a headband, sewn up leaving a small opening for a pillow(stuff with cattail fluff, goatsbeard ETC) a signal panel (orange gore), cut into strips for field bandages. thats all thats coming to mind right now....

Oh yeah almost forgot....everlasting, washable, reusable toilet paper....(kidding)

snare set marker, signal flag/drop zone wind marker,
