I just bought a C96GP and I love it. But I have a small concern with the linerlock. When the blade's tang is engaged with the linerlock I have felt a slight movement of blade. Carefully I put a little bit of back pressure against the blade's spine while watching the linerlock and noticed the linerlock sliding off the tang. Does anybody have a clue on what could cause this slippage?

Thanks,

I noticed the same thing with my Spyker after a couple months of use. I sent it back to Spyderco for warranty repair. They returned it within two weeks. The lockup is now absoulutely solid. It appears the adjustment consisted of a small amount of stock removal to the material on the back of the blade where the linerlock is engaged.

If it was an Emerson, you could take it apart yourself and adjust the locking liner. :D
If you're bold enough to void your warranty (isn't that what happens on these?), take it apart. Bend the locking liner a tad, in the direction it moves when locked. Reassemble, and it'll work fine.
Peace.
