I have searched around a bit and cant find anything about a age limit for having a pocket knife. Is there? Or is it a size thing, cause I just bought my son a Cold Steel Vaquero Grande for his 15th birthday and I dont want him (or me for that matter) to have any trouble because he has it.

I've never heard of age restrictions for carrying knives, only guns. But, since it's california we're talking about, I'm not too sure.

hahaha yea, it is california we're talking about, but i dont recall there being an age requirement, but at some place i goto check of blade im carded asking if i was 18 and some not, i asked one place and they said it was store policy not law

AFAIK there is no state law mentioning age with regard to knives. Just make sure he keeps it away from a school, as it would be illegal for anyone to carry there. In addition, I wouldn't be surprised if a LEO were to give a 15 year old an extremely hard time if he found that knife, even though it is legal. Also check your local, city and county laws, as some of those might mention age or blade length.

I would have loved a CSVG when I was 15.
