CA dirk/dagger law vs BR mini-Canadian

It seems to me that the Kalifornia dirk & dagger statute is very vague, and I wonder if anyone here knows how it relates to carrying the Bark River mini-Canadian and Mikro-Canadian in the back pocket. They are small enough to do this, but putting them in the back pocket makes it a concealed carry. Any thoughts on this? Any experts on Kalifornia's convoluted laws?
