This question is for Mr Gollnick.

You had said in a post earlier in the year that you had met a man at a knife show that was part a knife company based in CA. You said he told that they were developing a knife very similar to balisong that would not only have great manipulation capabilities, but would also be legal in CA. You also mentioned that the knife was going into production by the end of the year.

Any new news on this that you can share?

I would probably guess that the maker is Emerson. They are California based. And their owner's (I think it's Ernie Emerson) first knife was a balisong.

I highly doubt that Emerson would produce any Balis any time soon. If he was going to we would probably have heard some type of rumor in the Emerson forums. Hell, something might have even come up in my OT Balisong post there.

I know it won't be a balisong, it'll be like a balisong, to make it California legal. I saw a knife on knifezilla called the "Tri-Fold Trick Knife." You can see it here They say it's alot like a balisong. Maybe the maker (possibly Emerson) could be coming up with something similar to this.
