I was wondering what type of knife this would be classified, and if it CA legal or not. Any help would be apprieciated very much. Thanks in advance.

Hard to tell, but from the discription and the photo it looks to be an automatic. If it is, it is past the legal blade size for CA. In CA an auto blade must be shorter than two inches.
