I was at Cabela's today and picked up a custom 110 from the Cabela Discount Cave. The blade has a moose head cut out in it, the scales appear to be some sort of burled wood, perhaps stablized. Of course none of the clerks knew anything about it, but since it was Customer Appreciation days and I had $60.00 of Cabela's money to spend, I figured I couldn't go wrong to purchase the knife which was being sold for $55.00.

Does anyone know when the knife was originally issued and sold, and what the handle material might be? Any facts (or even guesses) would be appreciated.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

Not sure when they were made, Buck does so many of these special editions, but I have seen several of these on Ebay, for right around what you gave, give or take a few bucks. They are real nice!

I thought there might be a series of these customs. In the current catalog they have a stag handled 110 with an elk cut out. Pretty much the same theme. Thanks again.

Buck has done some 110's for Cabelas with maple burl wood in the past, so I would guess that is the type of wood used on yours.
