I have not been active on this forum in the past few years.
I looking for some help from someone.
Many years bac one of the member of this forum was kind enough to purchase one alaskan guide 110 from Cabelas and sent to Ireland. The knife is still my treasured peace.
Now I asking if anyone of you willing to purchse a Alaskan Guide vanguard for me and ship it to Ireland.
I was in contact with one of the Cabelas agent and she stated that they stopped accepting orders from EU due some data protection issue.
Of course I will pay every fees in advance.
Please just let me know.
Kindes regards,
Karoly Bartha
PS: I've ordered custom shop 110 years back. I've tried to do it again. But looks like they finished the Int shipping. I tried to contact them via E-mail. No response after months. Looks like I have to give up on Bucks

I hope someone comes along to help you out on this front. It seems disappointing that the Buck Custom Shop won't ship to you.

FYI, Cabelas have changed the coating on their Alaskan Guide series knives. They no longer use the DLC(titanium-nitride) that is on your older AG 110, they are now using CeraKote. I suggest, you find one of the older ones on the used market.

Not shipping is one thing. Not even replyimg is an other thing.
I don’t think they are intentionally avoiding you, but I’m sure that most overseas services and business has been effected especially email. And that varies from one company to another and some web services.

I myself and many others who live here in the USA have experienced email connection and reply problems for the last 18 or so months since covid hit, the staffing has been off, not just at Buck but throughout all industry including internet services. This effects shipping and other supply issues and have made doing business more difficult. I think most companies have had to re-adjust the way they do everything and coping the best they can. Hopefully soon they will have things lined out and functioning better.

I hope you are right. But there is no Int shipping option on their site but Canada.

Hello Mr. Bartha,
I have a deal for you! I have a brand new 2016 that I kept in a glass case. It is an Alaskan Guide with the DLC coating. It is a 692 with the rubber handle. Send me you e-mail and I will send pics. It will be yours Free. I have given knives away before and it makes me feel good. People complain about their knives all the time but when I sense that it is a worthwhile cause I am willing to step in. Now it is not the 192 with a rosewood handle but all demensions are the same and it has the DLC coating that you cannot get anymore. It is up to you. Please reply here and we will keep in contact through e-mails. --- JOE

Hello Again Mr. Bartha,
I went to Cabelas website and YES they do carry the Alaskan Guide Vanguard 192RWSAGS--B. The 192 with Rosewood Handles made by Buck for $120. As said previously they now have Cerakote coating on the blade. Basicly they are painted black with the Rams head in a circle painted yellow that says Alaskan Guide. Most likely a decal. My offer still stands. I would not have said it if I did not mean it. Unless you want the Rosewood handles, Then I will purchase one for you if you like, but it will not be free, It will be the price with shipping and tax if any all inclusive.---- JOE
