I am awaiting delivery of Cabela's Buck-made Alaskan Vanguard model. Can anyone suggest a method for removing the decal on the blade that will not damage or mar the blade or otherwise leave any indication that the decal was there. thanks in advance

I did this:

There is still a faint image on the blade, so I may try again. Go slow.

This has been discussed several times in the past here. If you do a search, I'm sure you can come up with several ways to do it. I have one that had the emblem removedfrom the blade and it shows no trace of it ever being there, so there is a good way or two.

Some of us that removed the logo was sad that we did, afterwards. I just used paint stripper.

If I had one... I would leave it on... I like that AG Logo, it looks good to me... ITE ...

I'm with ITE. Taking it off decreases its value (but nothing like a Sambar Stag AG 110 modified into a switch blade that I saw for sale recently, there someone really ruined a good AG) Even though I wouldn't sell mine, the badge is a part of its character and history. But then, you weren't asking if you should and that is only my personal taste. We all have our own personal preferences.

You can stop at a good auto parts store and get 'adhesive remover'...Its commonly used to remove stickers on cars..

Whitey, I think you'll like the knife . When you get let us know what you think .
On the other I'm with Rat, wolf and E . DM

When I can use a belt knife, the AG 110 is my EDC. I like the Ram logo; but, I also drive a Dodge "Ram" truck:thumbup::cool:. So I think the Rammy logo is to cool for school as brother Marvin would say.

I have had some with the logo and without. I like them either way :D
The ones I removed the logo on, I just used a razor blade and scraped the logo off, VERY carefully almost keeping the razorblade parallel to the side of the knife blade. Then a little acetone, and buffed with flitz. Logo and "shadow" gone!
BTW, the logo is screen printed on or something, it isnt a sticker.

Good luck! Dont forget the before and after pictures!!!

having received knife (Vanguard) and viewing blade and logo, i have decided not to remove it (instead ordered the 110 version). you are the people my mother warned me about.
