I've been getting restless lately. I'm so ready for winter to be over it's not even funny.
So I decided to pack up the possibles bag, strap on the JK Kephart, and head out into the woods primeval today.
Quite a bit of snow but I needed to get out so I spent a few hours hiking around.
A lot of deer tracks in the area and quite a few coyote also.
Found where this deer hunkered down.
I started to get hungry around lunch time so I made a small fire and cooked up some bannock.
Warmed up a bit, had some bannock like I mentioned. Made certain my small fire was out completely and then buried everything nicely. Kept moving on.
I found a really nice stream. Very peaceful with the "bubbling" sound and no other noises.
Nice hike today. Can't wait for spring/summer to get here. I was getting into the routine of work, home/dinner/tv/sleep then repeat. Nice to get out for a bit.
