My friend knows someone who owns 6000 acres of land.
She has a small hunting cabin on one portion of it, and said we were welcome to use it. :)
So off we went for some cabin fun last weekend.

Proper tools for the job, right?

But this is what it's all about; good friends and knives (they're holding the knives I brought as cabin gifts...cabins are better with gifts of knives :)) :

Cabin looks fun! What is the blue handled knife? :D cheers! DRINK!

Gal darn it stabby, you always have the best photos! Interesting to see the size comparison of the tops and your blue monster compared to the Junglas (a knife I own). Thanks for posting em.

The secret is to take a ton of pictures...that way, some of them turn out good. :D

Pictures that allow for size comparison are always useful, I find. I know that when I'm looking at a new knife, seeing it next to one I know the size of is very helpful.

That Junglas belongs to one of my friends...and is getting used for sure. He's pounded in tent pegs with the flat of the blade, and throws it too.
He isn't scared to "uglify" a knife along the way.

That looks like an awesome time. Gives me the fever to get outdoors and do something! Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean.
Looking at the pictures makes me want to get out again! :D

6000 acres!!! Sounds like paradise. I am happy going to hunting camp on 60 acres. Looks like you had a great time stabman.

Thats me hacking the chair and smoking! Had a really great time with two old friends and enjoyed a few knives and meals together. I really enjoy using knives. Along with the junglas i had a grohman no 4 i used for food prep and a spyderco native i edc'd that day. Stabman gave me a kabar mrk1 which ive always wanted. I plan to break it in and hand down to my son when hes old enough. Hopefully we can make it up again this winter during hunting season. The best part stabmans an insomniac so he keeps the stove going.

Life's too short for sleep. ;)
